Walsingham Way

Walsingham Way Pilgrimage

The Walsingham Way was launched this week to encourage people to engage with the traditional practice of pilgrimage.

37 miles of walks through beautiful, unspoilt, Norfolk countryside following a pilgrim’s route from the Medieval City of Norwich to the destination at the Shrine at Walsingham. EDP story with a map is here. (Shorter, circular walks are included!)

For an interactive map try the Walsingham Way blog.

Signposts have been appearing in some of our villages, beautifully-constructed and inviting. Pack your rucksack and get out your walking boots! And pray as you go…

The Bishop of Norwich, The Rt Revd Graham Usher said, "I hope that many people will put on their walking shoes and set out. May this new pilgrim route help them find joy and hope."
