Much of what we do in the Heart of Norfolk is quiet under-the-radar action, supporting and loving one another and those in our communities, and developing our relationship with our Lord God. Below are just some of the key activities that form part of this journey. For more detail and information about up-coming events and services, see our What's On pages.
Sunday worship
We hold services in at least one of our churches every Sunday. Cick here to see what services are coming up.
Discipleship and growth
We hold a number of regular events to support our discipleship and growth. These include:
Midweek study groups
Historically we have run mid-week courses during Lent and Advent but we are now running similar groups regularly throughout much of the year. Examples in 2026 have included a Lent Study Group based on one of Paula Gooder's books, a series of evenings where we watched and discussed The Life of Jesus film (The Gospel of John) and a series of studies of Paul's letter to the Philippians using Tom Wright's guide "Philippians for Everyone".
Proverbial Prattle
An ecumenical discussion group on the Proverbs, held on the fourth Wednesday of each month at Stibbard Methodist Chapel. All are welcome and refreshments are provided. Contact Norman for more information.
Prayer for the community
The monthly prayer meetings for the people of North Elmham and Billingford are open to anyone who cares about these villages and their people, and are strongly supported by members of our churches. They are usually held on the first Monday of every month. Contact Dave for more information or if you have any prayer requests.
Regular community events
T@2
Join us for afternoon tea with cake, sandwiches, savouries, music and company. Normally at 2pm on the second Wednesday of each month at the North Elmham Institute.
Cafe Pew
A light, informal lunch with a welcoming mixture of company, once a month at All Saints' Church, Wood Norton.
Words and Music
All are welcome to come along and participate by bringing a favourite piece of music or a reading of your choice. Otherwise just come along and enjoy the interesting miscellany that the event produces. Held once a month at All Saints' Church, Wood Norton.
Cine Pew
The screen at All Saints' Church, Wood Norton shows films several times a year. Films enjoyed in 2026 include The Holiday, Return to Oz, Tolkein and Out of Africa.
Other events
Various other events are held from time to time, including the annual Elmham garden fete, coffee and cake at Guist Clock Cafe, cream teas at Worthing and more.
Music concerts and singing workshops
Every year we have a program of amazing music concerts. For example in 2026 we had memorable concerts by Chaos Collective, the Iceni Consort and the Ralph Allwood Singers in North Elmham and by the cellist Orlando Jopling in Wood Norton.
We also hold regular singing workshops at North Elmham. In 2026 these were run by Lauren Dove, Linds Bestwicke, Natasha Hood, Haley Glennie-Smith and Sonrisa.

Links to schools
We have two wonderful schools in our group, at North Elmham and at Stibbard. In recent years we have supported them in a number of ways including hosting groups for visits and services in our churches, regular school assemblies and regular visits from our storytellers team "Open the Book". It is also lovely to have children from the school come along to our T@2 events from time to time.
